Wondering if anyone that has ordered a GTX has gotten any estimated delivery dates? My order has had the status "ordered" ever since I put down the order back in May.

Yep - confirmed upgraded sound system from production week 51 here in Europe + Park Assist, Light Staging (daytime) and more.

ID.Software 3.0 also coming from production week 51 here in Europe, and our current GTX's 2.3 will get the 3.0 OTA towards the end of the year.

 

Thanks for that! I wonder if that will make it to the American version of the ID.4. We are missing a lot of things that are found in the European cars and I wished VW would have included as options in additional trims.

 

The latest information from a Q&A with Electrek at the AWD media drive event was that they are working on bi-directional and that it's not a given for MY 2022.

I'm curious to know if this is documented somewhere, losing that 3 year free of charge would definitely make me re-calculate my desire for an ID.4 and not the competition.

 

It was announced by VW posted here recently that 2022 models will get the 3 years EA.

 

I believe I have read that the 2022 models will get 30 minutes free charging per session for 3 years at EA. That is what I am assuming going in.

Really interesting article, the vehicle to home charging will be DC based from the car and require an external inverter, means it's more likely to come via software to 2021 models.
